Within the sewing course imparted by the Women’s social work of the ASCIM that initiated in February 2020, two groups of indigenous women from the communities of Yalve Sanga and Campo Alegre sewed face masks.
Upon request from the different departments of the ASCIM and the community stores, the women sewed approximately 700 face masks with TNT insert. Each face mask has a price of 3.500 Gs of which 2.250 Gs correspond to the income of the seamstresses.
The material used to fabricate the face masks were donated by the women organization of the Fernheim Colony.
